Specialty paper manufacturer presents five solutions at FESPA 2024 as consistent demonstration of the brand promise PAPER MADE FOR LIFE

Felix Schoeller is fulfilling its PAPER MADE FOR LIFE brand promise with five sustainable product solutions at this year's FESPA Global Print Expo (19-22.03.2024) in Amsterdam. The new TRANSFER DT paper with 67 percent less plastic is a sustainable addition to the transfer films in the product portfolio; the S-RACE® TERRA sublimation paper made of 65 percent recycled fibres, the SCM pro terra and the polyethylen-free ULTRA green photo paper are the consistent implementations of the promise to use resources and make an essential contribution to society consciously and the environment with sustainable paper solutions - without compromising on quality. As if that were not enough, Felix Schoeller is also taking a sustainable approach to packaging its digital media products. In close consultation with customers, the aim is to make this 100% plastic-free in future. You can experience the unique, sustainable solutions and new products live at the trade fair stand in Hall 12, Stand D21.

"We are thinking paper further, consistently pursuing the course of moving away from plastic and focusing on our main raw material, paper, and showing that PAPER MADE FOR LIFE is not just lip service," says Jörg Borker, General Manager EMEA Digital Media.  "Rather, it expresses an honest striving for sustainable solutions with real added value for our customers."

TRANSFER DT paper Matt 110 complements the portfolio of high-quality

TRANSFER DT paper Matt 110 complements the portfolio of high-quality Felix Schoeller transfer media - sustainably and without compromise. The FSC-certified transfer paper saves 67 percent of plastic and thus conserves important resources. At the same time, it guarantees the same excellent properties in the DTF process as high-quality transfer films - for intense colors and stable production and processing processes. "We are putting our words into action and offering customers and partners the opportunity to help drive change with sustainable solutions," says Dieter Kaumkötter, Product Manager Transfer Media. At FESPA 2023, Felix Schoeller announced its entry into the world of transfer media and launched two TRANSFER DTF films and a classic transfer film for screen printing processes. At the same time, the company promised to offer a solution based on renewable raw materials in the long term. Felix Schoeller reached this milestone with the help of in-house development teams, product experts, and valuable feedback from test customers. The comprehensive product portfolio with four high-quality transfer media is ready for the market.

S-RACE® TERRA makes the sublimation printing process even more sustainable

With S-RACE® TERRA, Felix Schoeller has developed a sublimation paper that consists of 65 percent recycled fibers for the first time ever. These industrial fiber residues, such as tissue, books or envelopes, always come from the same, familiar sources, for consistent recipes. This ensures the high quality and unique properties of S-RACE® sublimation papers. Only a small amount of virgin pulp is required for production, which conserves valuable resources. This process leads to a 28 percent reduction in CO2 emissions compared to conventional sublimation papers. With its future-proof technology, S-RACE® TERRA is a sustainable solution for sustainable products in the sports and textile industry.

Sustainable prints for advertising materials at the point of sale

Like the S-RACE® TERRA, the new SCM pro terra paper comprises 65% recycled fibers. Like the sublimation paper, the manufacturing process requires only a small amount of virgin pulp, thus conserving resources. As a result, CO2 emissions can be reduced by as much as 33 percent compared to conventional SCM papers. With its unique matt surface, the 95-gram paper offers excellent line sharpness. At the same time, the special coating guarantees brilliant and intense colors for a sustainable solution for advertising materials at the point of sale.

ULTRA green paper for sustainable high-end photo quality without polyethylen

ULTRA green Semi Gloss 230 is a sustainable alternative to high-quality inkjet photo papers with PE-based coatings. The newly developed pigment-based barrier layer is free from polyethylen. The white photo paper has a semi gloss surface. It is perfect for sustainable poster printing in high-end photo quality thanks to its microporous ink-receiving layer. ULTRA green is made from 100% FSC-certified pulp and is Made in Germany.
