The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Feb. 14 , edition that Americans could face toilet paper shortages and price increases if President Donald Trump enacts 25-per-cent tariffs on all goods from Canada and Mexico , warns Kruger Products chief executive officer Dino Bianco . The Post's Sean Silcoff writes that Mr. Bianco emphasized that regardless of political affiliation, people rely on toilet paper and will be frustrated if prices rise and availability drops. This situation would harm both manufacturers and consumers alike. Mr. Bianco , who also leads publicly traded KP Tissue , which owns 12.6 per cent of Kruger (the balance is owned by Montreal's Kruger family), said his company has been scenario-planning for tariffs since Mr. Trump was re-elected last November.
