AI Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction & Scope

This AI Acceptable Use Policy ("AI Policy") governs your use of Industry Intelligence's artificial intelligence features ("AI Features"), including our AI Workforce platform and AI Teammates. This AI Policy is part of our Terms of Service ("TOS") at industryintel.com/terms.

Your Master Services Agreement ("MSA") governs your contractual rights, obligations, fees, and data usage. In any conflict between this AI Policy and your MSA, the MSA governs. This AI Policy governs individual user conduct when accessing AI Features.

By using AI Features, you agree to this AI Policy. If you don't agree, don't use AI Features.

2. Understanding AI Features

2.1 What AI Features Do

Our AI Features generates outputs, analyses, summaries, and recommendations ("AI Outputs") based on your inputs and queries.

2.2 Important Limitations

You should understand that:

• AI Outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, current, or reliable
• AI can produce "hallucinations"—content that sounds plausible but is factually incorrect
• AI Outputs may reflect biases present in training data
• AI Features evolve over time, and outputs may change as we improve our models

2.3 Always Verify

AI Features are tools to assist you, not replace your judgment. You are responsible for verifying AI Outputs before relying on them.

2.4 Not Professional Advice

AI Outputs are not legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice. Always consult qualified experts for professional matters.

2.5 Critical Safety Restriction

Do not use AI Outputs as your sole basis for decisions involving safety, health, legal matters, finances, employment, credit, insurance, or other high-stakes situations. Human oversight is required.

3. Acceptable Uses

You may use AI Features for purposes permitted in your TOS (individual users) or MSA (enterprise customers), including:

• Analyzing, summarizing, or extracting insights from Industry Intelligence Content
• Generating reports and analyses for internal business purposes
• Asking questions and receiving AI-generated responses about industry trends, market data, or other Content
• Searching, filtering, organizing, or navigating Content available through the Services

4. Prohibited Uses

4.1 Competitive Restrictions

You shall not:

• Use AI Outputs to develop, train, or improve competing AI systems
• Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit AI Outputs except as permitted in your MSA
• Use AI Features to create databases or data products for distribution to third parties
• Use AI Features to provide services to unaffiliated third parties

4.2 High-Risk Use Restrictions

You shall not:

• Use AI Outputs as the sole basis for safety-critical, medical, legal, financial, employment, housing, credit, or insurance decisions without independent human review
• Use AI Features in any manner that could result in physical harm, personal injury, or property damage
• Use AI Features for clinical diagnosis or medical treatment decisions without verification by qualified medical professionals
• Use AI Features in systems where failure could result in death, serious injury, or severe property damage

4.3 Security Restrictions

You shall not:

• Conduct adversarial testing, red-teaming, or prompt injection attacks without prior written authorization
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or derive the source code, algorithms, or training data of AI Features
• Use automated means (bots, scripts, scrapers) to access AI Features except as expressly authorized
• Interfere with or disrupt AI Features for other users

4.4 Input Restrictions

You shall not input into AI Features:

• Data you do not have the legal right to use for AI processing
• Personal information, PII, PHI, payment card data, or Social Security numbers without necessary rights and consents under applicable privacy laws
• Confidential information belonging to third parties without authorization
• Content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Malicious code, viruses, or malware

4.5 Harmful Uses

You shall not use AI Features to generate content that:

• Violates any applicable law or third-party right
• Is defamatory, fraudulent, or misleading
• Infringes intellectual property rights
• Promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activities
• Exploits or harms children
• Generates non-consensual intimate imagery or deepfakes
• Impersonates any person or entity
• Spreads disinformation or misinformation

5. Your Responsibilities

5.1 Verification

You are responsible for:

• Independently verifying accuracy, completeness, and reliability of AI Outputs before relying on them
• Implementing appropriate human review and oversight, particularly for material decisions
• Not representing AI Outputs as human-generated where disclosure is required by law or professional standards
• Ensuring your use of AI Outputs complies with all applicable laws and professional standards

5.2 Data Rights

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have all necessary rights to input data into AI Features
• Complying with all applicable data protection and privacy laws
• Obtaining required consents before inputting personal data
• Implementing appropriate measures to protect sensitive data you input

5.3 Compliance

You are responsible for:

• Using AI Features only in compliance with this AI Policy, the TOS, and your MSA
• Immediately ceasing any use that violates this AI Policy
• Promptly notifying Industry Intelligence of any suspected violations

6. Intellectual Property & Data

6.1 What We Own

Industry Intelligence owns all rights to AI Features, including AI models, algorithms, and underlying technology. You acquire no ownership rights in AI Features or AI models.

6.2 Your Input Data

You retain all rights to data and content you input into AI Features ("Your Inputs"). Industry Intelligence does not claim ownership of Your Inputs.

6.3 Your Rights in AI Outputs

Subject to compliance with this AI Policy and your TOS or MSA.

6.4 How We Use Your Inputs

Industry Intelligence uses Your Inputs solely to:

• Provide AI Features and generate AI Outputs in response to your queries
• Maintain chat history to improve context and quality of AI Workforce responses during your session
• Detect and address technical issues, security threats, or violations of this AI Policy
• Comply with legal obligations

Industry Intelligence does not use Your Inputs to train AI models. Your Inputs are stored only as necessary to provide the Services and maintain conversational context. Enterprise customers should refer to Section 3 of the MSA for data usage terms.

7. Disclaimers

The Services and AI Features are provided "as is." Industry Intelligence disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding AI Features and AI Outputs, including warranties of:

• Accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability for any purpose
• Freedom from errors, hallucinations, biases, or inconsistencies
• Compliance with regulatory requirements or professional standards
• Appropriateness for business, legal, financial, medical, or safety-critical decisions
• Non-infringement of third-party rights
• Continuous availability or error-free operation

AI systems are probabilistic and may produce inaccurate or inappropriate outputs. You use AI Features entirely at your own risk.
