The latest sustainable addition to the Pregis portfolio, the EverTec Automated Mailer, is officially available! This curbside recyclable solution is compatible with the industry-trusted Pregis Sharp™ MaxPro series of baggers and is capable of increasing fulfillment volumes by up to 4 times! To get a little more insight into why this product is a gamechanger for the ecommerce mailing space, we spoke to Pregis Automated Mailing Product Manager, Gene Fogh. GENE, CAN TELL OUR READERS ABOUT WHY PREGIS DEVELOPED THE EVERTEC AUTOMATED MAILER AND WHY IT’S SUCH AN INNOVATIVE SOLUTION? Gene: The explosion of ecommerce has completely changed consumer habits, leading to a significant increase in doorstep deliveries. That means that packaging waste is becoming a notable concern. Sustainability is a core tenet of the Pregis Purpose so developing packaging aimed at diverting materials from landfills is a priority for us. When you add the mailer’s ability to boost operational output and efficiency, the EverTec Automated Mailer will enable customers to achieve their operational and sustainability goals. HOW DID PREGIS LEVERAGE THE EVERTEC AND SHARP PRODUCT BRANDS IN ORDER TO DESIGN THIS MAILER? Gene: That’s really the most exciting part about this new solution, it was developed by the minds that brought the market EverTec mailers and Sharp bagging equipment. Our EverTec Mailers are trusted by ecommerce brands of all sizes as a go-to for curbside recyclability and durability while Pregis Sharp™ bagging equipment have been driving efficiency for packing processes for decades. When it came to engineering this product, it was a no-brainer it would need to be up to our usual mailer standards but it also needed to be compatible with our top-tier bagging equipment. I’m excited to say that our engineering teams have accomplished just that and customers can have peace of mind that they’re getting the best of both product brand lines in one with this mailer. HOW DOES THIS MAILER IMPACT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE? Gene: The EverTec Automated Mailer was created with the end customer – the consumer – in mind. It’s brandable with 1-color custom print and is eligible to feature the How2Recycle ‘Paper Pouch’ designation providing clear instructions for how to conveniently recycle the mailer at the curb. One thing I do want to note is all stock print EverTec Automated Mailers are part of our Pregis Inspyre™ product line, where we donate 1% of the sales to the Uzima Clean Water Mission. Uzima is doing great work around the world to fight water insecurity and we are very proud to add this new solution to the Inspyre line. ANY OTHER MAILER DETAILS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO KNOW FOR THE EVERTEC AUTOMATED MAILER? Gene: This is a specialty paper solution with reinforced seals to provide maximum durability. It’s currently available in 3 sizes (11” x 14”, 13” x 16” and 18” x 16”) to mirror the most commonly used poly mailer sizes. These mailers can be sold with our stock standard print or with custom print with lead times ranging from 1-5 weeks. Our Sharp MaxPro baggers are now capable of running EverTec Automated Mailers or Pregis Poly Mailers so that you can decide which solution works best for your needs.
