The Largest Margarita Mug in Texas Also on Display at Applebee’s Restaurant in Irving All Month

The Lone Star State’s most popular cocktail, the iconic DOLLARITA®, a margarita for $1, returns Sunday at select Applebee’s locations in Texas and through the end of January.*

The DOLLARITA, an Applebee’s 10-ounce house margarita for a buck, is generally considered the first iteration in what has become the dollar drink craze. The can’t-miss-cocktail was the brainchild of SSCP Management’s president Chris Dharod. SSCP Management, a fully family-owned and operated business, owns 80 Applebee’s, including 55 in Texas.

SSCP President Chris Dharod

“Our guests love the DOLLARITA,” said Blake Roe, Sr. Director of Marketing for SSCP. “Made with tequila and classic Margarita mix, this 10-ounce $1 drink is a win for our guests and for us. We get to see our neighbors more often, and they don’t have to break the bank to have a great experience in our restaurants. The proof is, well, in the mug.”

Speaking of mugs, SSCP created the largest margarita mug in Texas, where everything is bigger. It loves selfies and occasionally is filled with THE LARGEST MARGARITA IN TEXAS. The largest margarita mug checks in at six feet high, four and a half feet wide and can hold 65 gallons of margarita! It comfortably resides at the Applebee’s in Irving, Texas at 1901 North Beltline Road.

Often imitated, never replicated, the DOLLARITA proved so popular in Texas that it was adopted by Applebee’s system-wide in previous promotions.

* Guests must be 21 years or over to enjoy the DOLLARITA, and as always, Applebee’s reminds you to please drink responsibly. Valid at Applebee’s locations in Texas operated by SSCP Management. Excluding Kyle, San Antonio, New Braunfels, Marshall, Texarkana, & Mount Pleasant locations.  Dine-in only, while supplies last. Void where prohibited. Not valid with other coupons or discounts. Tax & gratuity excluded. Participation may vary.
