ROCHESTER, New York , June 8, 2023 (press release) –

Ithaca Hummus, the crave-worthy hummus brand known for its fresh ingredients and bold flavors, announced its plan to update its Hummus and Salsa packaging to better serve both consumers and retailers. Rolling out in stores this fall, the Ithaca Salsa line will shift to clear tubs, allowing consumers to get a sneak peek of the dip’s real chopped, diced and squeezed ingredients prior to purchasing. The Ithaca Hummus line will experience a subtle yet bolder update as well.

Recognized by distinguishable tubs that have strayed from category norms since its inception, the decision to update the packaging was made in part to better reflect the bold taste and flavors inside that Ithaca is known for. Eye-catching improvements, including refined font sizes and coloring, will also help the brand continue to stand out on crowded retailer shelves.

“At Ithaca, we are constantly listening to our partners and consumers to better provide fresh, flavorful, quality products that they know, love and trust,” said Chris Kirby, CEO and Founder of Ithaca Hummus. “While there is typically an overwhelmingly positive response to our products, we know there is always room for improvement. Upon further market penetration and testing, we learned that the packaging update is an essential optimization that will make our Salsa and Hummus lines more attractive to retailers and ultimately more accessible to consumers.”

Ithaca Hummus and Salsas are plant-based, vegan, Non-GMO Project Verified, gluten-free and contain no artificial ingredients. As an alternative to chemical preservatives, Ithaca controls the food safety of its products using a process called High Pressure Processing (HPP), helping to preserve the nutrients and flavor of each ingredient. Ithaca’s products are also free from stabilizers, binders, additives, and emulsifiers.
