Fussy about foundation? Finding the perfect match can be tricky, especially when shopping online. That’s why we’ve partnered with MIME to bring you the new AVON Foundation Finder. You can now harnesses the latest beauty AI technology to find your dream shade.

“Many of us now buy skincare and makeup online – but we’ve found there’s a real barrier for consumers buying foundation online, as there’s still a perception that you can’t find the most accurate shade for you without trying it in person,” explains Cara Sarkar, Avon Make Up Brand Lead. “That’s why we’ve partnered with the leading experts in Colour, Image and Data Science at MIME to launch a shade finder tool giving the consumer a simple, interactive experience recommending the most suitable foundation.”

The Foundation Finder uses AI to match colour based on complexion, skin tone, undertone and live image analysis. Users answer a few questions, including a comparison with photos of a range of different skin tones, and then submit a selfie to ensure a perfect match. The tool then recommends a range of possible foundations, with their correct shade, so consumers can choose the option that best meets their needs – like choosing the perfect coverage or finish.

What’s more, the Foundation Finder can be shared across multiple platforms, including digital shops, campaigns and in text messages – making it easy for Representatives to share with their customers and help them find the right shade” adds Cara Sarkar.”
