WASHINGTON , August 2, 2023 (press release) –

The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) and John Burns Research and Consulting (JBREC) are excited to announce a joint Lumber and Building Material Dealer Survey partnership.

The partnership will invite NLBMDA’s member base into JBREC’s existing high profile Building Products Dealer survey, expanding upon the existing partnership with the Executive Council on Construction Supply. Partnership with both high-profile organizations will increase the reach and regional representation of the sample.

Since starting in 2017, JBREC’s Building Products Dealer Survey has provided timely and actionable insights on the new construction and remodeling market. This new partnership strengthens JBREC’s Building Products Dealer Survey’s position as the preeminent survey of lumber and building material dealers.

“We are excited to partner with John Burns Research and Consulting (JBREC) a trusted source and leader for housing market research and economic data,” said NLBMDA President & CEO, Jonathan Paine. “NLBMDA has had a long-standing relationship with JBREC and we couldn’t be happier to partner with them on providing our members trusted market data to support their business operations. By participating in the NLBMDA/JBREC survey, lumber and building material dealers will have access to a wealth of timely and valuable information regarding housing activity, building product insights, and economic trends.”

“We are excited to enter this partnership with the NLBMDA, which has been in operation since 1917 and represents over 6000 member locations across the US. This partnership will fortify our ability to deliver real-time building product insights to homebuilders, contractors, and other industry participants,” said John Burns, CEO of John Burns Research and Consulting.
