Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) will introduce legislation that forbids the federal government from using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology as a tool to enforce laws and regulations. Recently, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced that they will launch a “sweeping, historic” tax enforcement initiative incorporating AI technology to allege “unpaid taxes” and seize money from American individuals and companies. In addition to using AI to act as a massive enforcement machine that continuously monitors all financial transactions, the IRS stated that an element of the new AI initiative includes monitoring and investigating digital assets. This would target taxpayers involved in digital currency transactions as well as traditional currency movement. “AI is an Armageddon level threat, far more ominous than any alleged pandemic or climate crisis,” said Congressman Higgins. “Democrats in DC love AI. They’re weaponizing it. I’m introducing legislation forbidding the federal government from using Artificial Intelligence as a tool to enforce laws, regulations and codes. Republicans will not allow government controlled AI computer programs to crawl around in the private business of free Americans. The Democrat Party globalist-elite oppressors are 100% determined to control and restrict every aspect of every American’s life, but We the People are awake, and We will not kneel. We’re fighting back.”
