The shipment collaboration and LTL pooling service advances freight consolidation strategies in volatile markets Transplace, the premier provider of logistics technology and services, today announced it is expanding the capabilities of Transplace Network Services with OptiPro, a tech-enabled service identifying cross-customer opportunities for LTL and partial truckload freight. Transplace’s OptiPro delivers an on-demand, effective freight consolidation strategy for shippers featuring two key programs: shipment collaboration and LTL pooling. OptiPro’s shipment collaboration program combines multiple shippers’ freight to create multi-stop truckload shipments through either load to ride (LTR) or Transplace’s cross-dock network. The LTL pooling program utilizes Transplace’s strategic cross-docks in regions across the U.S. to consolidate LTL freight. “It’s imperative that shippers have the tools to navigate market challenges and unlock capacity, flexibility, and automation when and where they need it,” said Frank McGuigan, CEO of Transplace. “OptiPro allows shippers to have increased confidence to plan and move freight efficiently amid market uncertainties. Shippers utilizing OptiPro unlock a range of benefits, including: GOJO Industries, Inc., a health and hygiene product manufacturer and the makers of Purell sanitizing products, is among the companies utilizing OptiPro and seeing immediate benefits. “As a company striving to help the world experience greater health and wellness with our trusted hand and surface hygiene products, it’s crucial to maintain supply chain operations for timely product shipments, especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” said Anthony Guardado, Logistics Network Director of GOJO Industries, Inc. “By utilizing OptiPro, we’ve kept product moving amid supply chain challenges and product shortages and saw 7% in savings on shipments moving through the OptiPro network in 2021. OptiPro has made our supply chain more efficient and optimized, allowing us to successfully transport critical hygiene supplies across the county.” Transplace’s OptiPro service is available to shippers across the Midwest, Southern California, Chicago, Dallas/Houston metro and Mid-Atlantic regions.
