WE’RE ADVANCING THE UNDERSTANDING OF HYGIENE AS THE FOUNDATION OF HEALTH Our strategy recognises that we play a significant role in solving four of the world’s largest problems, including: how can hygiene be the foundation of health? And this is where our latest partnership comes in. When you believe that the highest quality hygiene is a right and not a privilege, how do you improve hygiene access and knowledge? How do you develop the next generation of hygiene health experts? And how do you drive the fight for access and generate new solutions? All questions that will be debated at the new Reckitt Hygiene Forum which was opened today at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). It’s the latest milestone in a five-year partnership to innovate solutions that will improve global health through research, teaching and global collaborations. The Forum is located in the South Wing of LSHTM’s Keppel Street building, creating a state-of-the-art base for hygiene research, teaching and collaboration, as part of the University’s regeneration programme. It’s designed to help foster new innovation in hygiene science; providing a base to bring together leaders and experts in the field and produce new research that drives real-world impact. The Forum’s programme activities over the next three years will include behaviour change research, safe surface science and work to advance our understanding of the mechanical transmission of diseases.
