A fire broke out at Metsä Tissue's Kreuzau plant at 08:15 on 28/08/2022. The fire started in the steam power plant. Thanks to the efforts of the fire department and the company's own workforce, the fire was prevented from spreading to neighboring departments All fire departments in the area were deployed to extinguish the fire. Production is currently halted. The next announcement will be made at a later date.
