LOS ANGELES , March 8, 2022 () –

Italy-based packaging and tissue producer Pro-Gest is temporarily suspending production at all six of its paper mills in Italy, Euwid reported on Mar. 7.

The company cited logistics uncertainties stemming from the Russian-Ukrainian war, as well as continually soaring energy prices, as reasons for halting production under force majeure.

According to Euwid, Pro-Gest’s six Italian paper mills house nine paper machines for producing tissue and packaging materials. The company says it will continue manufacturing of packaging as usual, and packaging production will be unaffected by the halts.

The company says it will work with its customers on an individual basis concerning delivery changes.
