Metsä Tissue, part of Metsä Group, including Metsä Greaseproof Papers business, have received the highest Platinum rating for the third time in a row in EcoVadis sustainability and social responsibility evaluation. The company is among the top one per cent of all the companies rated by EcoVadis. Metsä Tissue once again scored highly in each of the four themes assessed, performing best in the environment section with a score of 90/100.

“We’re pleased and proud to have received a Platinum rating from EcoVadis for the third consecutive year. Despite stricter scoring, we managed to exceed the requirements for a Platinum rating and improved our results from last year. We take this as proof of the excellence of our sustainability work, rated highly by an impartial party. We’ve demonstrated that we have an advanced sustainability management system that covers all the four themes addressed. This provides an excellent foundation for the further development of our sustainability work. I wish to express my warm thanks to our internal and external stakeholders, who have contributed to the achievement of this excellent result,” says Esa Kaikkonen, Metsä Tissue’s CEO.
