Achievement Reflects Company's Commitment to Improving Gender Equality

For the fourth consecutive year, Ecolab has earned a place on Bloomberg’s Gender-Equality Index (GEI).

The recognition reaffirms Ecolab’s commitment to policies and practices aimed at advancing gender equality across its global organization, as emphasized in its 2030 Impact Goals. Understanding that a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce fuels its success, Ecolab has prioritized gender equality in its hiring, compensation, benefits and employee support.

In the last year, Ecolab has grown its participation in gender equality oriented programs, such as Men Advocating Real Change (MARC) by Catalyst, the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) Chemical Industry Group and the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF) Annual Leadership Conference. Ecolab has also stepped up involvement in EmpowHer, a European gender equality program aimed at improving gender diversity and accelerating the advancement of women.

Increased family support, such as fertility benefits, adoption assistance and paid parental leave, are among Ecolab’s recent moves to enhance the well-being of all associates. And the company also makes employee allyship a priority. Associates can engage and grow together by participating in employee resource groups, such as E3, a group that aims to advance women leaders through mentorship, career guidance and professional support.

Working toward its goal of gender parity in management, Ecolab has made significant increases in management level gender diversity in recent years as well. And the company validated through a third party that it provides equitable and competitive pay.

Ecolab was among 484 companies to make the 2023 Bloomberg GEI this year. The index tracks the performance of public companies that voluntarily disclose efforts to support gender equality. Gender equality is measured across five pillars: leadership and talent pipeline, equal pay and gender pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and external brand.
