PARSIPPANY, N.J., U.S.A. – April 1, 2024 – Under the theme of “Beauty is colorful. We are the color experts.,” Sun Chemical will showcase a wide range of innovative effect pigments, natural colorants, and ingredients for the cosmetics and personal care industries during in-cosmetics Global 2024.

Sun Chemical will debut a new generation of INTENZA® Hana effect pigments at this year’s show. These unique absorption effects combine the boldness of FDA-certified colors with the pearlescence of 100% USA sourced natural mica-based effect pigments. The strong chroma and shimmering effects of INTENZA Hana allow formulators to simplify their manufacturing processes by adding bright colors and effects to finished products. Available in three shades with unique two-tone effects, the new INTENZA Hana line will be featured at the in-cosmetics Innovation Zone.

To meet the beauty industry’s growing demand for sustainably sourced ingredients, Sun Chemical will further extend its natural product line with the newly launched SunPURO® Natural Carotenes and SACRENEX™. SunPURO Natural Carotene O N70-2317 and SunPURO Natural Carotene BTO N70-2527 are globally approved natural colorants with orange-red hues derived from algae and fermented mushrooms.

SACRANEX™, an active skincare ingredient, is the first Suizenji Nori extract to be cultivated indoors on a large scale. SACRANEX offers superior skincare benefits ranging from moisturization and pollution defense to reducing the appearance of redness, fine lines, and wrinkles. It comes in two grades—SACRANEX B and SACRANEX F—allowing formulators to customize their products.

To inspire formulators with new colors and textures influenced by up-and-coming trends in the beauty industry, Sun Chemical will showcase formulas from its 2025 THRIVE color trends program at the in-cosmetics Makeup Bar. The applications will feature pigments highlighting key innovations from the wide range of Sun Chemical’s color portfolio.

“We are looking forward to returning to the leading global event for cosmetics and personal care to share our new market solutions that meet consumer demands for quality and sustainability,” said Ed Webb, Global Director of Cosmetics, Sun Chemical. “Sun Chemical continues to emphasize its ability to provide colorful and environmentally friendly solutions to the beauty industry by drawing on the broadest, most comprehensive color portfolio. Our expertise in pigment chemistry, combined with our customers’ formulation prowess, makes for endless colorful possibilities.”
