Sustainable and inspiring at the same time: Creating oases of well-being with Innovus

Sonae Arauco, manufacturer for wood-based solutions, brings global trends to shopfitting with the decorative Innovus brand

 

EuroShop is the world's largest platform for retail and takes place every three years in Düsseldorf. Thus, the trade fair is also the central contact point for shopfitters, architects and suppliers. The international manufacturer for wood-based solutions Sonae Arauco will use the decorative brand Innovus to exemplify how design and technical performance go hand in hand with environmental sustainability, picking up on global trends for the retail sector.
"EuroShop 2023 will set new impulses globally - especially with regard to sustainability," Markus David, Sales & Specification Manager at Sonae Arauco, is certain. "Also in shopfitting, fast hypes are giving way to long-lasting, flexible design solutions that take into account global trends such as neo-ecology."

 

Customer loyalty through design


At the joint stand of the German Shopfitting Association (dlv) in Hall 11, the wood-based materials manufacturer will be presenting an example of a shop that is one thing in particular: A source of inspiration and a place of comfort. This is implemented with warm woods, authentic fantasies and attractive unicolours from Innovus. The collection includes a contemporary and diverse range of decors and exclusive surface textures for laminated panels, laminates or composite elements. "In keeping with the guiding principle of 'Feel@Home Shopping', we are presenting a feel-good oasis that not only invites you to shop, but also to linger. Because even in the hustle and bustle of the shopping arcades, customers can feel at home thanks to cleverly chosen surface combinations," says David. A specific example of this is the interplay of  Titanium Dark| Super Matt, for an exclusive ambience, with Timeless Oak Biscuit | Fusion, a uniquely natural, light oak look.
The motto "Feel@Home Shopping" also plays on the fact that not only large e-commerce retailers enable shopping from home, but also smaller stationary stores. They advertise their own web shop in their physical store, so that customers are encouraged to order from their living rooms via tablet later. It is no longer necessary to keep the entire collection in the shop. Valuable floor space can, for example, give way to a cosy lounge corner with warm and authentic surfaces.
Authentic materiality is also reflected on the dlv community stand: among other exhibits, this is equipped with references from the Innovus Collection, in particular Feel Light Grey  with the surface structure Cosmos as well as Innovus Coloured MDF Deep Black, in order to present specific applications in high-quality furniture construction as well as for sophisticated interior design.

 

Sustainable material solutions for shopfitters


The concept of sustainability is not only reflected in the concept of long-lasting design and other quality features: the circular economy is also a key principle at Sonae Arauco. Increasing the efficient use of wood recycling is one of the most strategically important areas of investment. For this reason, the proportion of recycled wood in chipboard production at Sonae Arauco already exceeds 65 per cent in some cases. For the fresh wood used, Sonae Arauco relies 100 per cent on sustainable and responsibly managed sources. This is another reason why Sonae Arauco won the Green Product Award 2022  with its Innovus MFC product series.
