The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) announced today that Phil Shaffer and Kendra Allman joined NWRA as the Vice President of Chapter Management covering Midwestern states and Senior Director, Meetings and Events, respectively. Phil comes to NWRA from the American College of Healthcare Executives, where he was a regional director, working with 35 chapters across 22 states. He has more than 15 years of association experience in relationship management, business development, operations, and strategic planning. Phil holds an MBA from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management and a B.S. from DeVry University. “I’m thrilled to be with an organization that not only advocates for the betterment of the waste and recycling industry but also provides research and fosters education and training to make it safer and sustainable. I’m looking forward to working with our chapters and members to achieve their goals and support the mission, vision, and values of NWRA.” Kendra Allman comes to NWRA from the National Stone, Sand, and Gravel Association (NSSGA), where she was responsible for meetings and event planning. Kendra is a creative force that seeks to deliver the best possible experiences for members at association meetings and events. Kendra is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and holds a B.A. from Radford University. “I am excited to join such a talented team of professionals in the Waste & Recycling industry.
