BASF's Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions motorcycle engine lab in Guilin, China, achieves ISO 17025 accreditation for emissions standards

GUILIN, CHINA, June 30, 2023 – The BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions (ECMS) motorcycle engine lab in Guilin, China, has been granted accreditation for ISO 17025 in the areas of emission and durability tests to meet increasingly stringent emissions regulations. The successful accreditation demonstrates the technical competence and quality management system of the lab. Test reports and certificates for customers now can be accepted from China to other countries without the need for further testing.

ISO 17025 is the widely recognized international standard for testing and calibration laboratories. The motorcycle engine lab in Guilin is the company’s primary location for development and evaluation of motorcycle and general engine emission catalysts to support customers in all regions. The lab provides a broad range of capabilities for verification, aging and durability testing of emissions technologies.
