During the 7th Perm Engineering and Industrial Forum, Uralkali (the Company) and the Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU) signed a cooperation agreement for education and R&D activities. Vitaly Lauk, Uralkali CEO: PNRPU is a highly competent scientific and educational centre and a proven technical education leader in Russia. The cooperation agreement with this university will expand our partnership in terms of training of new specialists for our potash facilities and also in terms of applied research in Uralkali’s areas of interest. Anatoly Tashkinov, PNRPU acting rector: This agreement continues the history of our long-term relations with Uralkali. Over the past years, we have jointly launched the Institute of Potassium and created the necessary technical base for educational programmes and scientific research. So this document is a further logical step in this direction. Together we intend to develop joint programmes of advanced professional education and create educational infrastructure including for the Berezniki branch of our university. Subsequent collaboration with Uralkali with be focusing on the development of digital technologies for industrial applications. Uralkali (www.uralkali.com) is one of the world’s largest potash producers and exporters. The Company’s assets consist of 5 mines and 7 ore treatment plants in the towns of Berezniki and Solikamsk (Perm Region, Russia). Uralkali employs more than 13,300 people in the main production unit.
