Uralkali held an award ceremony for the winners of a national contest of R&D projects. The contest called “Effective Application of Potash Fertilisers in Agriculture” was arranged with support from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. The 1st place was awarded to a team of the Udmurtia State Agrarian University who presented their project called "Influence of potash and magnesium fertilisers on productivity and quality of potatoes and vegetable crops". The runner-up was the paper of the Altai State Agrarian University called "Effectiveness of potash fertilisers with leguminous crops in the conditions of the Altai Region", followed by the work submitted by the Perm Federal Research Centre of the Ural Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences and called "Assessment of effectiveness of potash fertilisers on the basis of short-term and long-term field trials with various crops in the conditions of the western piedmont of the Ural Mountains". The gold, silver and bronze winners also received a cash prize of RUB 300,000, RUB 200,000, and RUB 100,000, respectively. The ceremony was held during the 25th Russian Agritech Exhibition "Golden Autumn 2023" at the exhibition stand of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. It was held among Russian universities and research institutes that have sufficient technical and scientific resources for the necessary trials and investigations.
