At the World Congress of Dermatology in Singapore, ELC shared new preclinical and clinical findings in skin care research. Following a successful International Societies of Investigative Dermatology Meeting earlier this year, scientists at The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) recently presented new preclinical and clinical findings spanning emerging research areas that support skin health and longevity at the 25th Annual World Congress of Dermatology (WCD) in Singapore. Held every 4 years, the WCD provides a venue for specialists from around the world to showcase new knowledge in skin care science, exchange clinical experiences and scientific research in dermatology, and build professional and personal networks and collaborations. This year, the conference brought together ELC and several of its brands for a number of insightful presentations and activations with leading scientists, dermatologists, media, and influencers. ELC Scientists Present Latest in Skin Care Research Scientists from across ELC’s Clinical Sciences and Bioscience teams and ELC’s brand laboratories—including Estée Lauder Research Laboratories, Clinique Laboratories, and La Mer’s Max Huber Research Labs—presented a number of digital posters that showcase scientific innovation across emerging areas of skin aging. Learn more about these presentations and their findings. Estée Lauder Hosts “Sirtuins and Longevity” Symposium The Estée Lauder brand proudly hosted a symposium featuring Nadine Pernodet, PhD, Senior Vice President, Bioscience, and Danica Chen, PhD, Professor, Metabolic Biology, Nutritional Sciences & Toxicology, University of California, Berkeley. During the symposium, the pair discussed the latest research on sirtuins, or “longevity proteins.” Dr. Chen shared key research on the relationship between these longevity factors and the hallmarks of aging, and Dr. Pernodet discussed the role these proteins play in youthful skin. These insights continue to inform how we develop products and the approaches that slow or reverse visible aging in skin. ELC Brands Celebrate at the WCD The conference also provided an opportunity for several of ELC’s leading brands to host top dermatologists, influencers, and media and showcase their individual areas of expertise in skin care science.
