Paper Excellence is informing customers in the China market that its Crofton NBSK price for both CKHFI and CKBC grades will be maintained until further notice. Paper Excellence foresees fundamental factors tightening pulp markets in the second half of 2022. These factors can be classified into two groups as ongoing production and supply chain challenges and the return to more normal activities in China and across the globe. The challenges in productions and supply are mainly attributed to record-high unplanned downtime in 2022, pulp capacity conversions and/or limitations, and also persistent issues in supply chain and logistics. Meanwhile, healthy pulp inventory and loosened Covid-19 restrictions in China mean economic recovery is on its way, as schools, business and community resume, which will lead to grow in demand in the near term. -30- Paper Excellence, headquartered in British Columbia, is a diversified manufacturer of pulp and specialty, printing, writing, and packaging papers.
