Paper Excellence Canada and Fibre Excellence today provided details of each of its mills planned maintenance shutdowns for 2023 which are largely focused during the 2nd Quarter of 2023. It is estimated at least 55,000 tonnes of pulp production will be reduced due to the 2nd Quarter maintenance, and about 100,000 tonnes in total including the 3rd Quarter’ schedule. Paper Excellence and Fibre-Excellence remain committed to serve the customers during the maintenance and will provide further update if there are any issues that may delay the restart of each operation. -30- Paper Excellence Canada, headquartered in British Columbia, is a diversified manufacturer of pulp and specialty, printing, writing, and packaging papers. The company operates seven mills and a large-scale cargo distribution centre in Canada producing and shipping over 2.5 million tonnes annually with a workforce of more than 2,200 supporting 7,000 indirect jobs. Paper Excellence Canada is poised to continue to grow with its strategy of operational excellence and high-quality, cost-effective products. Fibre Excellence, located in the south of France, employs 650 people, working in particular in its two pulp production plants located in Tarascon (Bouches-du-Rhône) and Saint-Gaudens (Haute-Garonne).
