The Puma Unit begins today, February 17, the procedures for starting the factory and demobilizing the teams hired for the General Shutdown, which began on the 7th. The inspections and maintenance carried out in this period are standard procedures carried out by the industrial segment as a way of maintaining the safety of the operation, the employees who work at the factory and the community around the Unit. With the end of the Shutdown, the operation of machines, ovens, boilers and other equipment is restarted, which can generate some characteristic odor and noise in the vicinity of the factory. However, the company reinforces that they do not pose a risk to people's health or the environment.
END AND RESULTS OF THE GENERAL STOP - The union of experienced teams with intensive planning and the implementation of strict safety and health protocols, such as social distancing, mandatory use of a mask, hand hygiene, temperature measurement at the entrance of the Unit and monitoring of possible symptoms, allowed the General Shutdown to proceed smoothly.
Care for the health and safety of workers remains until the demobilization is completely completed and, at the end of the General Shutdown, the health professionals hired to carry out screening and other COVID-19 prevention actions will be transferred to the 21st Regional of Health, to help fight the pandemic
