For this, it is necessary to educate and set an example through the engagement of all, since recycling is a chain. “In 2021, Ibema recycled three million kilograms of scrap and post-consumer materials, which we use to manufacture new papers. The expectation for 2022 is to remove 4.5 million kilos of waste from circulation by the end of the year”, says Ibema's Strategy and Marketing manager, Diego Gracia. The calculation includes post-consumer cardboard, paper and corrugated scraps that would go to the trash, but that, through circular economy processes, return to the factory and add to the composition of Ibema Ritagli, the first post-consumer duplex and triplex paperboard. of the Brazilian market. The product is made with 50% recycled fibers, with 30% coming from recycling. Aimed at the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries and suitable for indirect contact with food, Ritagli guarantees rigidity and printability in white or cream back. “We are pleased to contribute to cleaning up our environment in a sustainable way, but we also recognize the growing consumer interest in recycling. That's why we offer brand owners a really effective reverse logistics alternative, in line with new consumer behavior”, adds Gracia.
