On PM1, an EP Turbo Blower has been operating since 2016 Runtech Systems delivers a RunEco vacuum system rebuild to Alkim Kagit San. ve Tic. A.S in Kemalpasa, Izmir, Turkey. The delivery to PM2 includes an EP600 Turbo Blower with EcoDrop water separator and EcoFlow dewatering measurements for vacuum system optimization. Delivery also includes a specialist visit during machine startup to help optimize the existing equipment. Alkim Kagit produces over 90,000 tonnes of photocopy and offset paper annually at Kemalpasa site. On PM1, an EP Turbo Blower has been operating since 2016. A service contract ensures optimal operation of the vacuum system. The relocated PM2 will produce the same grades and the total production capacity will be 215,000 tonnes. “This order shows Alkim’s satisfaction with our turbo blower technology and cooperation. The flexible operation of EP Turbo Blower guarantees sufficient vacuum well into the future, also in case of possible production changes,” says Tommi Leander, Sales Manager, Runtech Systems. RunEco vacuum system is developed specially to take into account the challenges and demands related to the dewatering and runnability of paper machines. RunEco EP Turbo Blowers are designed to operate efficiently across a wide range of vacuum levels and air flows. The EP Turbo unit includes an integrated high-speed drive, which eliminates the need for a gearbox or coupling. Rotation speed and vacuum level can be adjusted according to the process requirements. Its compact design makes it ideal for rebuilds and also reduces installation costs. It operates totally water free. EcoDrop water separator separates water, fiber and fines ensuring reliable and efficient vacuum generation. EcoFlow dewatering measurement provides accurate real-time feedback about the dewatering performance along the paper machine which can be used to optimize dewatering and vacuum levels in the forming and press sections. Alkim Paper Production Plants produce woodfree offset, coated paper and office papers. 85-90% of the products are sold in the domestic market, the remaining share exported mainly to Europe.
