A core assembly as a component of a fluid-absorbent structure in a disposable diaper includes fluff wood pulp fibers and superabsorbent polymer particles and is wrapped with wrapping sheets. The core assembly is formed in a region thereof facing a liquid-pervious bodyside liner with a plurality of depressions."
