BUENOS AIRES, Argentina , July 7, 2014 () – Unicharm Corporation has filed a patent application for disposable diaper. This invention was developed by Junko Ueda, Kyo Kikuchi and Naoto Ohashi.

According to the abstract released by the The Argentine Patent Office: "Embodiments of this invention provide a disposable diaper adapted to restrict a change in thickness of the core assembly due to absorption of bodily fluids. A core assembly as a component of a fluid-absorbent structure in a disposable diaper includes fluff wood pulp fibers and superabsorbent polymer particles and is wrapped with wrapping sheets. The core assembly is formed in a region thereof facing a liquid-pervious bodyside liner with a plurality of depressions."
