Axalta Coating Systems signs Responsible Care Beijing Manifesto, an industry-wide initiative sponsored by Assn. of International Chemical Manufacturers, to reiterate commitment in being a responsible, sustainable company in China

SHANGHAI , June 20, 2014 (press release) – Axalta Coating Systems, a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, today signed the “Responsible Care Beijing Manifesto” to reiterate its commitment in being a responsible and sustainable company in China.

The Manifesto, an industry-wide initiative sponsored by the Association of International Chemical Manufacturers (AICM), aims to set a path for its member companies to differentiate themselves with a clear and public commitment to continuously improve their health, safety and environmental performance.

On behalf of Axalta, Mr. Sobers Sethi, Vice President of South and East Asia, Mr. Allan Tsai, Vice President of Operations and Mr. Jay Kaiser, Product and Technology Director, joined executives from 40 other international companies at the signing ceremony themed “Join Us, Road to Responsible Care Excellence.”

Axalta issued its first Sustainability Report on June 5. The report showcases Axalta’s customers, products and services and describes the contributive role that Axalta plays in providing sustainable solutions for its customers and communities.
