Carl-Peter Forster to join Rexam board as non-executive director on June 10

LONDON , June 5, 2014 (press release) – Rexam PLC announces that Carl-Peter Forster is to join the Board as a non executive director on 10 June 2014.

Carl-Peter is the former Chief Executive of Tata Motors (parent of Jaguar Land Rover and part of the global Tata Group), and previous to that he was Group VP and Regional President of GM Europe. He also spent 15 years in various senior management roles at BMW AG. Carl-Peter is a non executive director of IMI plc, a FTSE 100 global engineering group, and also a board member of Hong Kong-listed Geely Automotive Holdings.

Commenting on the appointment, Stuart Chambers, Rexam's chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome Carl-Peter to the board of Rexam. His considerable operational and manufacturing expertise and the knowledge and experience gained as a leader in global organisations will be real assets to the board’s discussions as we pursue our vision of being the best beverage can maker in the world.”

There are no further details to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13 (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
