Helsinki-based design firm Packlab receives platinum A' Design award in package design category for upside down bouquet design on Blossom Cava sparkling wine bottles; inspiration for design was 'turning the gift of giving upside down and adding value'

COMO, Italy , May 2, 2014 (press release) – Blossom Cava by Packlab has been acknowledged with the renowned Platinum A' Design Award in Package Design Category.

A' International Design Award and Competition is pleased to announce that the work Blossom Cava by PACKLAB design team became winner of the renowned Platinum A' Design Award in Package Design Category. The Bottle design was highlighted as one of the winners by the international jury panel of the A' Design Awards & Competition among thousands of participants. Blossom Cava’s fun yet highly professional packaging design received high scores and praise from the majority of jury members.

PACKLAB, the creative team behind the awarded bottle design said "The new design is indeed an intelligent way to give more; flowers and a little bit of Cava sparkling wine together. The inspiration here was to do a lot with very little - turning the gift of giving upside down and adding value. Through humor we are asking the purchaser to turn the bottle upside down and by doing so give the gift receiver more than wine but flowers and a smile." The Platinum A' Design Award

The Platinum A' Design Award is a prestigious award given to top 1% percentile designs that has achieved an exemplary level of greatness in design. The designs are judged by a panel of three different jury which is composed of Academic, Professional and Focus Group Members. The designs are evaluated with score normalization to remove any biases and are voted on aspects such as functionality, ergonomics, engineering, presentation, innovation, usability, fun details, technology, and any other specific points that could be considered, each of these points are further weighted for different jury groups.
