Dickey's Barbecue to open new location in Davis, California, on April 24

What does every college town need? Veteran James Domsic is betting it's barbecue. Starting this Thursday, Domsic will be slow smoking full-time at the new Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Davis.

"I love barbecue and people so this is a perfect fit," said Domsic. "Davis is a cool college town with a great culture – I know Dickey's Barbecue Pit will be a new local favorite."

On Thursday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m., Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Davis will kick off a three-day Texas-sized party celebrating the newest California location. The first 50 guests in Davis will receive a gift card for up to $50. Friday, Dickey's Barbecue in Davis will be offering all day merchandise giveaways.

Saturday, radio station 98 Rock will be on-site from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00p.m and this location will be serving $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches. Also, one lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three lucky guests will win free barbecue for an entire year.
