China Forest Products Imports - Logs And Lumber Jan 2014 / Pulp Feb 2014 Data
Pulp - In Feb 2014 China imported 1,363,000 tonnes of pulp at an average cost of $681 per tonne. Pulp imports were up 25% compared to Feb 2013. YTD pulp imports are 2.99 million tonnes compared to 2.45 million tonnes in the prior period (up 22%).
Month over month, pulp imports are down 16% for Feb 2014, lumber imports are down 10% for Jan 2014 and log imports are up 3% for Jan 2014. Month-over-month prices are down 2% for pulp for Feb 2014, up 3% for lumber for Jan 2014 and up 4% for logs for Jan 2014.
