Title of the invention: "MULTI-PLY TISSUE PAPER PRODUCT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME."
Applicants: SCA TISSUE FRANCE (FR).
Inventors: Marie Bertin (FI), Sebastien Jeannot (FR) and Emmanuelle Kientz (FR).
According to the abstract* posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization: "A multi-ply tissue paper product (1 ) comprises at least two plies (2, 3, 4, 5) made of tissue paper base-sheet, at least one outer ply being a structured outer ply (2, 4) produced by a structuring manufacturing method. The structured outer ply (2, 4) comprises a microstructure pattern (7, 8, 9) on substantially at least 80% of the structured outer ply surface, said microstructure pattern being applied by micro-embossing during a converting operation. The structured outer ply (2, 4) is chosen among the group of structured ply comprising a through air dried ply produced by a through air drying TAD manufacturing method, or a dried ply produced by an advanced tissue molding system ATMOS, or a dried ply produced by a structured tissue technology SST manufacturing method. The microstructure pattern comprises a first series of protuberances (7, 9) having a density ranging from approximately 30 to 100 protuberances/cm2. The softness property of the structured outer ply is adjusted during a micro-embossing step."
The patent was filed on Aug. 2, 2013 under Application No. PCT/IB2013/001702.
