Russia exports 11.06 million tons of lumber in first 11 months of 2013, up 7.3% year-over-year; value of exports climbs 7.4% to US$3.33B

– Russia exported 11.06 million tons of lumber in the first 11 months of 2013, up 7.3% from the previous year, Lesprom reported on Jan. 23, quoting figures supplied by the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
The value of exports also increased in the 11-month period, by 7.4% to US$3.33 billion. Of that total, Russia shopped 3 million tons worth $805.6 million to CIS countires and 8.05 million tons worth $2.52 billion to other countries.
Exports of roundwood in the first 11 months were 16.99 million m3, up 7.1% from the same period last year. The value of roundwood exports increased 5.8% to $1.46 billion, of which 512,200 m3 worth $36.7 million were shipped to CIS countires and 16.47 million m3 worth $1.42 billion were shipped to other countries.
