Online print shop Unitedprint acquires Nuremberg, Germany-based printer Fotobuch-Pionier Infowerk for undisclosed price; transaction includes Infowerk's United Shop Services, Softimpress and Klutzeweit digital print shop

January 2, 2014 (EquityBites) – German online print shop Unitedprint.com SE said today it had taken over domestic Nuremberg-based sector player Fotobuch-Pionier Infowerk GmbH, without disclosing the purchase price.

The transaction includes the target's units United Shop Services, Softimpress and the Klutzeweit digital print shop. Through the purchase, the buyer will add to its portfolio services such as photo products, LFP/advertising systems and web services, Unitedprint said.

Infowerk's managing director, Winfried Gaber, commented that his company would benefit from Unitedprint's expertise in the photo, digital and large-format printing areas.

The buyer also said that it would launch a webshop partner programme for photo products, which would enable its trading partners to access the European photo market free of charge.
