SAN FRANCISCO , November 13, 2013 (press release) – Berkeley and Oakland Residents Can Now Combine Items From Whole Foods, Safeway, Costco and Berkeley Bowl Into One Order

Instacart (www.Instacart.com), the only service that can deliver groceries from multiple local stores within an hour, announced today that its Berkeley and Oakland customers can now mix items from Whole Foods, Safeway and Costco into one order and have them delivered the same day. In addition, they can enjoy adding items from the popular independent supermarket Berkeley Bowl.

Instacart founder and CEO Apoorva Mehta said, "Berkeley Bowl and Costco delivery were the top requests from our East Bay customers. With the holiday season upon us, we are excited to put this in place for them."

Last week, the company expanded its geographic coverage in the San Francisco Bay Area, adding three cities in the South Bay -- Los Altos, Sunnyvale and most of Redwood City. It also services San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, and Mountain View. Instacart's service area maps are available here: https://www.instacart.com/locations

About Instacart
Instacart is the only service that can deliver groceries from multiple local stores within an hour, and is often less expensive for consumers than a personal, time-consuming trip to the grocery store. Customers can choose items from a variety of stores -- such as Safeway, Dominick's, Whole Foods and Costco -- and mix them into one order. Instacart is disrupting the traditional grocery delivery business with its approach which utilizes a crowd sourced model of Personal Shoppers and requires no costly inventory, warehouses, trucks or full-time drivers. Instacart is not affiliated with the stores; its model is to connect customers with Personal Shoppers who shop on their behalf. Learn more at www.Instacart.com.
