OLYMPIA, Washington , November 1, 2013 () – A City of Lacey effort to gather public feedback on a potential plastic bag ban will begin with an open house, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at Chinook Middle School, 4301 Sixth Avenue N.E.

Examples of plastic bags to be banned under the proposed ordinance will be on display, as well as information on how and why the ordinance was developed, and the intended goal of the regulation.

The city's outreach campaign will continue through the end of November, including a comment card that will be distributed with utility bills to customers.
