An IAMS commercial featuring Augusta resident Derek Underwood and his golden retriever, Brooks, will air Monday and Tuesday on network television.
The commercial is the grand prize for the IAMS Love Tails contest.
Contestants in the national contest submitted heartwarming videos showcasing their relationship with their pets. Fans of the pet food company voted on the IAMS Facebook page for their favorite of the top 11 entries. Underwood and Brooks were the fans' favorite.
The video follows Underwood and Brooks as they visit a local nursing home. Brooks is a trained therapy dog, and the pair frequently visit assisted living homes to bring joy to residents.
The commercial, which has been edited to fit a 30-second spot, will air between 7:30 and 9 a.m. on CBS during Monday morning's broadcast of This Morning, and between 8 and 9 p.m. during NBC's Million Second Quiz, according to a news release from IAMS.
IAMS will donate one bowl of food to pets in need every time Facebook and Twitter uses the hashtag #KeepLoveStrong.
