Twenty-nine percent of US families eat fast food two or more times/week, study says; 68% say top reason they buy fast food is because it saves them time

LOS ANGELES , September 4, 2013 () – According to a new study commissioned by BluePromoCode, a marketplace for coupons and deals, 29% of U.S. families eat fast food two or more times per week, QSR Magazine reported Sept. 3.

Sixty-eight percent of consumers say the top reason they buy fast food is because it saves them time, while nearly 50% think organic foods are too expensive, the study said. Twenty-four percent don't believe the health benefits are worth the extra cost.
