United States Patent no. 8,487,118, issued on July 16, was assigned to Bayer CropScience AG (Germany).
"Cyclic diones and their use as insecticides, acaricides and/or fungicides" was invented by Thomas Bretschneider (Lohmar, Germany), Reiner Fischer (Monheim, Germany), Stefan Lehr (Liederbach, Germany), Jurgen Benting (Leichlingen, Germany) and Arnd Voerste (Koln, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to the use of compounds of Formula (I)wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, X, n and G have the meanings given above as insecticides and/or acaricides and/or fungicides."
The patent was filed on Jan. 14, 2010, under Application No. 13/145,195.
