Spain-based Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) chips producer Artenius is in plans to shut a PET chips production line for a limited period.
“We will shutdown one PET chips line in the first half of May 2013 for five days to undertake minor repairs,” a Artenius official told fibre2fashion.
The PET chips line which has production capacity of 126,000 mt/year is located at El Prat de Llobregat in Spain.
The official added that this shutdown will not affect their commitments nor sales of PET.
Artenius shutdown its textile fibre production facilities towards the end of 2008 and is now exclusively producing PET chips.
