Ukraine, Finland agree to deepen cooperation in regards to fishing, forestry industries, production of biofuels

Ukraine and Finland are going to deepen cooperation in agriculture. This was agreed yesterday during an official meeting by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Ivan Bisyuk and members of the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Finland. In particular, the parties have discussed the possibility of cooperation in the fishing industry, forestry, as well as in the production of biofuels.
Yesterday's meeting took place within the first visit to Ukraine of representatives of the Finnish Parliament, including the Committee on Agriculture. In this regard, Ivan Bisyuk hoped that this meeting will provide another positive impulse for the development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Finland in agriculture.
Recall that the trade turnover of agricultural products between Ukraine and Finland in 2012 amounted to USD 15.7 million. Within 3 months of 2013 turnover amounted to 3.3 million dollars. Imports is USD 2.9 million, and exports - USD 0.4 million.
