LOS ANGELES , January 9, 2013 () – According to a union official, United Natural Foods Inc. (UNF) is in federal mediation talks with the union that represents the company's warehouse workers and drivers in Auburn, Washington, the Providence Journal reported Jan. 8.

The company's union members went on strike last December and later filed an unfair labor practice complaint with the National Labor Relations Board over UNF's intent to permanently replace about half of the striking workers.
