Inter Parfums to launch fragrance line bearing name of Karl Lagerfeld in 2014 under 20-year deal between companies

LONDON , October 25, 2012 () – French luxury perfumes group Interparfums (EPA:ITP) will launch a fragrance line bearing the name of Karl Lagerfeld in 2014, Interparfums said upon announcing an exclusive licence agreement with the label of the top designer today.

The twenty-year deal becomes effective immediately and replaces Lagerfeld's earlier agreement with US beauty products maker Coty, terminated by mutual consent.

Apart from being French Chanel and Italian Fendi's top designer, Lagerfeld has launched also his own label, which bets mostly on online sales. A Paris concept store Karl Lagerfeld is expected to be inaugurated in February next year.

Shares in Interparfums had gained 3.29% to EUR 21.01 today at 1634 CET on Euronext Paris.
