A three-alarm fire at a paper mill in Newberg, Ore., burned about 250 bales of paper and took 75 firefighters several hours to contain.
The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/WO2zst ) the fire started late Tuesday afternoon in a paper storage warehouse at SP Newsprint Co. in the community southwest of Portland.
Newberg Fire Department Battalion Chief Gert Zoutendijk says it was contained by about 8 p.m. One firefighter was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening, heat-related symptoms.
The cause is under investigation.
There was no immediate damage estimate.
