Quadpack announces Apollo's foam pump testing, prototyping machine designed to launch new foam applicators, brushes, combs; machine's two-week turnaround time will help companies be first to market with new products, company says

LONDON , July 13, 2012 (press release) – New formula? New delivery method? No problem! Apollo’s patented foam pumps can be tested with your formulation fast, thanks to the advanced technology of its four seasons climate control testing machine.

Once a technical drawing has been agreed, the design is transferred digitally to a rapid prototyping machine and a functional mock-up can be manufactured with a two-week turnaround.

This is ideal for testing formulas with new design concepts or application methods, such as new foam applicators brushes or combs. It also allows companies to pre-launch a new pack shape for consumer panel testing.

The functional mock-up samples look like they are made from an actual production mould. The finish of each component is exactly representative of the result that will come in final production parts.

After approval of the functional mock-ups, any modifications can be quickly incorporated into the design and definitive components delivered from a single cavity pilot tool with a turnaround of only three weeks, thanks to Apollo’s in-house tool development workshop.
