Kraft Foods plans to move headquarters of snack-food spinoff Mondelez International to Deerfield, Illinois, from Northfield, Illinois; spinoff to take place later this year

LOS ANGELES , July 6, 2012 (Industry Intelligence Inc.) – Kraft Foods Inc. plans to move the headquarters of its snack-food spinoff Mondelez International Inc. to Deerfield, Illinois, from Northfield, Illinois, Crain’s Chicago Business reported July 6.

A Kraft spokesman said that about 400 Mondelez employees will work at the Deerfield headquarters building, but it’s still unclear when the move will take place.

Kraft plans to split into a North American grocery company, Kraft Foods Group, later this year.
