Holmen appoints Daniel Peltonen, previous production manager at the company's mill in Madrid, Spain, as new mill manager at the Hallsta, Sweden, paper mill

STOCKHOLM , June 11, 2012 (press release) – Daniel Peltonen is currently production manager at the same mill. He came to Hallsta in 2009, after spending seven years as production manager at Holmen Paper’s mill in Madrid.

“It is a real strength to be able to recruit the new mill manager from within our own ranks,” comments Henrik Sjölund, head of Holmen Paper. “In his roles as technical manager and production manager, Daniel has got to know the mill and the people here. It will be exciting to see him apply the same drive in his new role.”

Daniel Peltonen is 41 years old and began his career in the forest industry in 1997, after obtaining an MSc in engineering from Åbo Akademi University in Finland. His career at Holmen Paper includes positions in production management in Husum, Braviken and Madrid. Hallsta’s new mill manager lives in Hallstavik, is married and has three children.

Daniel Peltonen will take up his post on 18 June and succeeds Kenneth Ohlsson, who is leaving Holmen.
