Number of Stora Enso shares held by Norway's central bank Norges Bank has exceeded 5% of paid-up share capital, with bank holding 40,009,761 shares, or 5.07% of company's shares

HELSINKI , May 10, 2012 (press release) – Stora Enso Oyj was informed on 9 May 2012 that after a return of shares lent out by Norges Bank, the number of shares in the Company held by Norges Bank (The Central Bank of Norway) has exceeded 5% of the paid-up share capital and the number of shares in Stora Enso Oyj on 8 May 2012.

With reference to Chapter 2, paragraph 10 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act, Stora Enso Oyj is reporting that as of 8 May 2012 the shareholding of Norges Bank is as follows:
